“ This is one of the best Chinese Won Ton Mee stores I have been to in the area. The Char Siew is sweet and has a good balance of pork and fat. The noodles are bouncy. They can get busy and service can be a bit slow during lunch hour! Be ready to wait for a table at times. The ambiance is more coffee shop style and so it's first come first serve to find seating. Parking in this area is metered city street parking and is tough at times. ”

“ Grab food from this place and it was soooo good. Ordered the roast pork curry laksa and dry pork curry mee. The laksa broth was very nice. Not too thick and not too water down either. The pork curry flavor was good but only have about 3 very small pieces and 3/4 of it is bone. Not much meat at all. But it was good. ”

“ The name Chan Meng Kee is very famous when you mention about wanton noodles. They are located a few doors away from the famous Lorong Seratus Tahun which is famed for its curry noodles originated from Penang. Parking is definitely a pain in the ass as this is a busy area. Their signature wanton mee comes with char siew and three pieces of wanton in a small bowl of soup. The noodles are springy and seasoned well but the char siew is a little dry. They also have curry noodles on the menu. I am quite surprised that their curry broth is really tasty. They are quite generous in putting santan in their curry which made the broth taste very flavourful. Service was okay but quick. Be prepared to wait for seats as this shop is pretty crowded during lunch hours. ”

Dubbed as the best wantan mee stall in town, Chan Meng Kee specializes in making light and springy noodles as well as succulent char siew. Each plate of noodles is prepared plate by plate so the waiting time might be longer than expected. However, the waiters here are rather rude and unpleasant, but the taste of the food can definitely make up for it. Sui gao and roasted pork is also recommended. ”

“ This is by far one of the best wan tan mee I have ever had in a long time. Recommended by my parents, I was keen to try and taste it for myself since they have been going on about how good is the wan tan mee and the roast pork. And yes, they are good. The roast pork is tender, salty and its skin is really crispy. It goes well with the wan tan noodles. The noodles is done right, not too soft and not too hard, while the sauce is concocted evenly and blend well with the noodles. The place can get pretty pack due to its popularity and parking in the area is hard to find, especially on weekdays. So be ready to walk a bit for a good lunch! ”

“ Easily one of the best BBQ pork aka char siu I have ever had. Chan Meng Kee is famous for its BBQ pork wanton noodles and it is definitely one of the best in the Klang Valley. Aside from its fabled char siu, the wanton noodles itself is very well done. Texture is great, not too dry or too wet, and contains the magic ingredient - bits of deep fried pork lard. When I first discovered the place, I used to order wanton noodles with roast pork, but it didn't take long for me to realise the error in my ways. Order the charsiu wanton noodles, and if you're dining in a group, get the crispy roast chicken to share. Wash it down with the special lemon iced drink, which is made with lime, lemon, mint leaves, and assam boi. I suspect adding some Hendricks would make it a killer cocktail. But I digress. This is another place I can always count on for an exceedingly satisfying meal. Needless to say, it is full during lunch time on weekends, so go early. Parking will be painful. ”

“ If you are looking for good roast pork or Char Siew in SS2 area, you would probably be recommended to check out Chan Meng Kee Restaurant. They have been selling Wan Ton Noodles and roast pork for years in SS2, and have now moved to their new premise just a few shops down. With the current shop, they are now able to accommodate more customers and also have since expanded their menu to dishes such as curry noodles, selections of soups, chicken rice and many more. I'd dare to say that their roast pork was one of the best that I've ever had. The meat was tender and melts in your mouth, yet they do not have too much fat in it. The crackling was crunchy and savoury. I tried their Curry Noodles too, and surprisingly it was really good. The curry was aromatic and you can taste the coconut milk in it. Though it's not the thick version of curry noodles, nevertheless, it was still delicious. On top of this, instead of using the usual yellow noodles they replaced the noodles with the Wan Ton noodles - which I thought was a good move. Overall, I'd strongly recommend to whoever is looking for good roast pork or char siew in PJ area. The restaurant is always crowded, and I heard that they would prepare limited amount of roast pork per day. So, if you are going for the roast pork it's advisable to be there early before its being sold out. Also, going there early would definitely ease your parking problem. ”
